"We should not look back unless it is to derive useful lessons from past errors, and for the purpose of profiting by dearly bought experience." — George Washington

United States History (With honors options) fulfills one of the history requirements for the state of Georgia.

Our area of focus will be from the early 1400s, beginning with Native American tribes and explorers to the present day. We will focus primarily upon studying the formation of the United States, its leaders, politics, thought, music, art, industry and people of this great country. Class time will be comprised of lectures, group discussions, and presentations.  Students will be required to know all the states and capitals in the USA, complete a collegiate book review and complete a project in the springtime.  There is an honors option to the course.  If interested in what that will comprise, please email me:  gabhistory@gmail.com  This class will be taught from a Judeo-Christian worldview.

Tuition: Sept-May $75/mo

Fees: One time $40.00 fee for photo copying primary/secondary/test sources for students to be used through the year.

Textbook: Land of Hope by:  Wilfred M. McClay     ISBN-10:  164177139

Summer Reading:  This will be sent out to those who are choosing the Honors Option.
