Digital Design and Professional Development
Course Description: One elective credit; DOE course code: 11.45100 Prerequisites: NoneThis course provides students with an opportunity to think and build like a designer, turning ideas into reality! This is a great course for students who are creative, curious, and have lots of ideas - but aren’t sure how their passions and interests coincide with the digital world. Students learn to solve real world problems with tools and techniques being used in the professional world, such as design thinking, prototyping, web/app design, digital marketing, and so much more! Professional development plays a key role in Digital Design. Students learn not only to design and build incredible projects, but how to present them professionally, receive feedback (both negative and positive), ask for help, and work as a team. Students participate in professional development exercises such as: email and phone etiquette, networking, creating a digital portfolio that showcases their work, and more!
