COVID-19 Policy

Eastside COVID-19 Policy

Masks

·        Masks are optional for all Common areas (entrance/exit, stairway, halls, bathrooms, and study hall).  Instructors determine the mask policy for their classrooms.

Sanitizing

·        Hand sanitizer will be available in common areas. Students should wash hands before and after lunch and after they use the restroom.

Illness While at School

·        If a student has a fever and/or becomes ill while at school, he/she will be isolated while a parent/guardian is contacted to pick up the student as soon as possible, no later than one hour after notification. If a parent/guardian cannot be reached within 30 minutes, the emergency contact will be called.

Isolating During a Covid-19 Case and Returning to School

·        After a positive test, a student, instructor, or staff member must isolate until fever free for 48 hours without fever-reducing medicine AND stay isolated for five days since symptoms first appeared.

·        Isolation can end 5 full days after symptom onset and the individual has been fever-free 48 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medication) as long as symptoms are improving.
