Griot:  The Chronicler of cultural traditions through narrative, poetry, and other media.

Books, Movies, commercials, Podcasts; even TikTok videos have something in common.  They all tell a story created by a "modern-day" griot.   This course is designed to reinforce English Language Arts concepts using the writing process and literary writing devices to enhance self-expression through storytelling.  Students learn to conceptualize, draft, revise, edit, publish, and present their original works and essays.  Every project is designed to improve writing and oral presentation skills.  They will also read and analyze other written works.

The ultimate goal of this course is to promote a learning lifestyle, not formulaic procedures.  The top priority is to help students become comfortable expressing their thoughts with a curriculum that fosters creativity and critical thinking.
